Six leading Bangladeshi knitwear manufacturers—BSKL, Knit Asia, Bettex, Nexus, Twelve Tex, and Sweatertech Ltd signed cooperation agreements with Ningbo Cixing Co., a global leader in knitting machinery, during the “Cixing Bangladesh Night Products Promotion Meeting” in Dhaka.
The event showcased Cixing’s advanced knitting machines and technologies, aimed at driving innovation, automation, and sustainability in Bangladesh’s knitwear industry. Tuhin, Managing Director of Cixing Bangladesh Ltd, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Bangladeshi manufacturers through a collaborative B2B model.
Frank Sun, Chairman of Ningbo Cixing Group, highlighted the company’s leadership in intelligent knitting equipment, noting a significant global presence with nearly 300,000 operational units and a 30% market share. He stressed Cixing’s dedication to advancing Bangladesh’s textile sector, creating jobs, and fostering economic growth. The company unveiled new products under its sub-brand “Steiger,” focusing on automation and sustainability. Cixing’s R&D investments, averaging $12 million annually, have led to 116 invention patents and other intellectual property.
Cixing Bangladesh, operational since 2011, has over 100 clients and more than 20,000 machines in use, aiming to modernize the knitting sector through innovation and technical upgrades. The event also featured a collaboration with BGMEA Fashion Technology University to nurture high-end talent for the industry and concluded with a fashion show showcasing designs by Cixing’s sweater team.
