Anwar Group is going to invest Tk.48 billion to set up three new factories, including a denim unit, which is expected to provide employment to some 6,700 people.
According to the report published at Prothom Alo citing Anwar Group Chairman Manwar Hossain in this direction, the new denim unit along with steel and paper factories in Munshiganj is expected to go into production by the fiscal year 2025-26.
The denim unit will, reportedly, initially produce 3.9 million yard of fabric and the production capacity is expected to rise to 7 million yard after the investment of another Tk8 billion.
Speaking to the media, Manwar Hossain, said that hopefully, they will be able to initiate the first phase of production in the denim factory in 2023 or 2024.
