Medicines produced in Bangladesh are being exported to 157 countries of the world including Europe and America, said Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek. On Sunday, October 29th, he said in a written question-and-answer session at the National Assembly session that drugs worth Tk 33.55 billion which is around 300 million USD have been exported abroad in the first three months of the current financial year.
According to the information given by the Health Minister in a written reply to a question of a Member of Parliament Mr. Anwar Hossain Khan, medicines produced in Bangladesh are exported to a total of 157 countries including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Cambodia, China.
