Bangladesh government has released BDT 4.0 billion in cash incentives to support export earnings. This amount represents the second portion of the first instalment for the 2024-25 fiscal year. Export-oriented sectors, including readymade garments (RMG), frozen shrimp, leather goods, and jute products, benefit from these incentives. Additionally, a special 1% cash incentive for the RMG sector is part of this disbursement.
Currently, the government provides up to 20% cash subsidies on exports of over 30 products. These incentives aim to boost export earnings and help maintain competitiveness in global markets. The Finance Division issued the official order for these incentives recently.
