4A Yarn Dyeing joins the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action
4A Yarn Dyeing Ltd, a concern of a renowned conglomerate from Bangladesh specializing in apparel manufacturing, Team Group, has joined the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action convened by the UN Climate Change as the first outwear manufacturing company of the world, media reported.
“4A Yarn Dyeing Ltd is very much committed to sustainable production and it’s also one of the trendsetting companies in Bangladesh taking actions for low carbon apparel manufacturing,” Abdullah Hil Rakib, Managing Director of Team Group told the media.
“Bangladesh as you all know is one of the most vulnerable countries of the world to climate change. We joined the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action as we want to be a part of the solution to global warming and climate change, and collaborate with other key stakeholders to succeed in combatting the climate change,” he also said.
It may be mentioned here the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action recognizes the crucial role that fashion plays on both sides of the climate equation; as a contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, and as a sector with multiple opportunities to reduce emissions while contributing to sustainable development.
