After the successful completion of five editions of National Conclave on Standards for Technical Textiles, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) jointly with Ministry of Textiles (MoT) and Bureau of India Standards (BIS) is organizing the 6th edition of the Conclave on 25th July’2023 at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi in Physical Mode. A considerable progress has been made in development of standards on technical textiles since the first conclave. The conclave acts as a catalyst for the formulation of latest standards and an excellent discussion forum for latest standards in the area.
Smt. Rachna Shah, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles shall address the delegates and Shri Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards has also kindly agreed to address the delegates.
Brig. Ashish Gambhir, VSM, Deputy Director General (PP & C), Border Roads Organisation shall address the delegates in Special Session-2 GeoTech, BuildTech & OekoTech: Standards & Regulations.
The primary objective of the conclave is to discuss and understand the state of play in standardization of technical textiles and the way forward. The conclave will also look at the Quality Control Orders (QCOs) which have been issued and which are in the process of being notified shortly as well as mapping of HSN codes with standards and QCOs.
The conclave will encompass all the 12 areas of Technical Textiles. Participation is invited from Indian Army, Indian Navy, DFS, OISD, BSF, BRO, RDSO, NHAI, CSIR, DGHS, CDSCO, PWMAI, ICMR, ICAR, NCPAH, ISO, Horticulture Commission and others among the user industries, members from research institutes & academia and also industry members from all the prominent manufacturers of the Technical Textile products.
