Samsoo Kim, the trade representative (director general) of the Commercial Section at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and Faruque Ahmed, chief specialist at the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Dhaka, convened a meeting with Faruque Hassan, president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
Primary objective of the meeting was to identify new opportunities for trade and investment between Bangladesh and Korea, with the aim of enhancing both economies, as stated in a press release. Discussions also revolved around potential strategies to establish strong connections between businesses in Bangladesh and Korea, facilitating exploration of their mutually advantageous trade and investment prospects.
