Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha advocated for collateral-free loans for women in the upcoming FY25 budget, emphasizing the need for equal inheritance rights. They urged the government to address women’s economic empowerment by providing updates on women’s progress in budget allocations.
The organization made 11 recommendations, including changes in inheritance laws to empower women economically. They highlighted the importance of increasing women’s access to resources and urged for equitable wealth distribution. Professors from Dhaka University and Jahangirnagar University also supported these calls during the press conference.
