EDANA concluded annual sustainability forum in Brussels

European Disposables and Nonwovens Association (EDANA) recently concluded its annual Sustainability Forum in Brussels, focusing on environmental responsibility, corporate social responsibility, and circular economy innovation. Titled “Building a Sustainable Future Together,” the forum included keynotes, panels, and collaborative sessions on addressing climate change, reducing waste, and advancing sustainability practices in the nonwovens industry.

Keynote speaker Ana Rovzar, founder of Polygon AR, discussed the rapid growth of renewable energy, noting a 50% increase in 2023 and highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to eliminate regulatory and technological barriers. Sustainability expert Mike Barry emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability into corporate strategies, urging companies to address Scope 3 emissions and meet consumer demands for transparency and environmental responsibility.
