ETP manufacturing giant Daiki Axis begins operating in Bangladesh

Daiki Axis, one of the world’s largest sewage treatment plant manufacturers, has commenced operations in Bangladesh with the inauguration of its subsidiary, Daiki Axis Bangladesh, backed entirely by Japanese investment. The launch event was graced by RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, Minister of Housing and Public Works, and Mayor Atiqul Islam (DNCC), among others.

Emphasizing the urgent need for sewage treatment plants in Dhaka due to severe water pollution, Minister Chowdhury commended Daiki’s initiative to address this issue. Mayor Islam highlighted Japan’s Johkasou technology as a solution to prevent direct sewage pipeline connections to canals or drains. Daiki Axis Bangladesh aims to produce sewage treatment plants based on Johkasou technology to improve water quality and environmental sustainability in Bangladesh.

The company plans to implement this advanced technology to enhance sewage treatment efficiency, recycle wastewater, and control greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the Public Works Department and Dhaka North City Corporation received the ‘Daiki Axis Global Award for Environment Protection & Conservation 2024′ for their efforts in combating environmental pollution and improving citizens’ lives in Dhaka. Daiki Axis has previously collaborated with Charm Ltd in Bangladesh since 2018 and will continue this partnership to manufacture sewage treatment plants locally, integrating Japan’s Johkasou technology.
