Goutam Adani met Sheikh Hasina thanked her for that he had handed over full load commencement of the 1600 MW Ultra Super Critical Godda Power Plant in Jharkhand district. He was pretty happy to announce that it was initiated in Covid pandemic period and Adani group had finished the plant in record time of three and a half years. He salute those dedicated hard working people of India and Bangladesh who had finished the plant on time and brought it into production. After 20 days of full commencement of the plant, Mr. Adani flew to Bangladesh yesterday morning and met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban.
The first experimental supply had started in March this year from Godda Power plant, from first unit of 800 MW. From 6th April, they have started commercial production. The second unit fully started on 25th of June this year. In 2017, the agreement between Adani group and PDB (Power Development Board) was made and Bangladesh is going to purchase form Godda plant for next 25 years.
