Grand finale of nation-wide write-up competition organized by SARSTEC (2)

The goal of the SARSTEC Science and Research Club was to awaken the latent talents of textile engineering students across Bangladesh. To showcase their skills and creativity, the club organized “Ink Wizards 2024,” a competition that brought together textile engineering students from campuses nationwide. In this year’s competition, here are the winners of the contest,

1st Place: Arafat Khan Pritom from Dr. Wazed Mia Textile Engineering College, Rangpur.

2nd Place: Salman Ahmed from Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College, Barishal.

3rd Place: Ishtiaq Hossain, also from Dr. Wazed Mia Textile Engineering College, Rangpur.

The competition began with an online first round where participants submitted their articles. Judges evaluated these submissions and selected the top 20 contestants for the Grand Finale, held on November 30. Among the Judges in Selection Round, Shawkat Iqbal, Managing Editor of Bangladesh Textile Journal, Mushfiqur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology, Sadman Sourav, Lecturer, BGIFT Institute of Science and Technology.

In the final round, promintet figures are as the role of judge including Dr. Mohammad Emdad Sarkar, Associate Professor, Bangladesh University of Textiles, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Jalil, Professor, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Sayed Rashedul Islam, Chairperson and Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, Uttara University.

Special Guests were present including Engineer Afsana Jahan Mim, Chairperson, AIFT, Bulbul Ahmed, CEO and Co-founder, Asrotechs, Sukanta Roy, CEO, Black White, Mahbub Hossain, CEO, Sarté Fashion, Advisors of SARSTEC Science and Research Club and the college principal were also present.

The competition event was supported and sponsored by AIFT, Codes Clothing Co., Black White, Sarté Fashion, Banglabazar Books, Textile Engineers Society, Vi-brother Textile, Excellence Bangladesh, and Industrialne Academia’.

This initiative successfully highlighted the potential of Bangladesh’s young textile engineers and encouraged innovation and excellence within the field.
