Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) urged for the immediate restoration of law and order and the revival of economic activities. They expressed sorrow over the recent loss of lives and suffering, while congratulating the interim government and urging it to prioritize stabilizing the economy and restoring normalcy.
DCCI emphasized the need for collective efforts from the government, private sector, and political parties to overcome recent disruptions. They also called for measures to stabilize the financial sector, control inflation, and aid small and medium enterprises (CMSMEs) in recovery.
Additionally, trade bodies like BGMEA, FBCCI, and BTMA called for enhanced security for factories and goods-carrying vehicles, highlighting issues with miscreant groups disrupting the garment industry and delays at Chittagong port and Dhaka airport.
