‘Kloth’ a global service brand from Bangladesh
Kloth Studio began in 2017 as a shared vision of two friends, Rafaan Seraj and Abeed Azad, to create a company rooted in Bangladesh that could serve the global hospitality industry. Specializing in bespoke workwear for luxury hotels and restaurants, the company has become a leading player in its field, connecting Bangladesh’s manufacturing expertise with the global market.
Drawing on Rafaan’s background in the garment industry—his family owns Elite Garments—the duo started small, overcoming early rejections before securing their first order of 40 custom-made shirts for a restaurant in Virginia. Their reputation grew when they partnered with the José Andrés Group, a milestone that solidified their position in the industry.
In 2018, they were joined by Maher Murshed, a hospitality sector expert, as the third partner. Under their leadership, Kloth Studio expanded internationally, partnering with prestigious brands like Rosewood, Hilton, Four Seasons, and Royal Atlantis Dubai, and serving clients in Mexico, Dubai, London, France, and Switzerland.
Kloth Studio’s business model emphasizes flexibility and tailored solutions, offering end-to-end services from design to production. With facilities in Bangladesh and other countries, the company ensures quick turnaround times and high-quality output. Today, the team includes over 100 employees across four global offices, supported by skilled designers who innovate for clients’ unique needs.
Despite its global footprint, Kloth Studio remains deeply connected to Bangladesh, leveraging local manufacturing expertise to meet the demands of the luxury hospitality market. The company continues to grow, driven by its commitment to client satisfaction and its roots in innovation.
