Finance and Planning Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed urged government officials to expedite the completion of ongoing development projects, emphasizing their critical importance to the economy and the well-being of the people. He highlighted the need to ensure proper use of funds, reduce wasteful spending, and improve transparency in procurement processes.

Dr. Salehuddin also called for better coordination, faster implementation of the Annual Development Programme (ADP), and discouraged overloading single project directors with multiple projects. He stressed the importance of accurate data management and hinted at upcoming financial sector reforms. Regarding the leadership at Bangladesh Bank, he assured that a new governor would be appointed soon and dismissed concerns over the central bank’s operations, noting that the economy is beginning to recover.
