Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) delegation, led by President Justin Huang, met with Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association. Administrator Anwar Hossain to explore trade collaboration opportunities in the textile and apparel sectors. The meeting, held at the BGMEA Complex in Dhaka, also included representatives from BIDA, BEZA, and BEPZA. Discussions covered the current market, global trends, and opportunities for knowledge sharing in areas like technology, resource efficiency, and circularity.
BGMEA highlighted Bangladesh’s shift towards non-cotton, high-value garments, especially those based on man-made fibers, and encouraged Taiwan to invest in technical textiles, woven textiles, and innovation. Both parties expressed optimism about forming partnerships for mutual benefits in the apparel and textile industries.
