Two more factories got LEED certified

Cotton Club and Graphic textiles are two new LEED certified green factory

Comfit Composite Knit Ltd and Fakir Eco Knitwears have recently earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC) for their environmentally conscious practices.

Situated respectively in Gorai, Mirzapur of Tangail, and Kayempur, Narayanganj, as per a press release, these factories join Bangladesh’s growing roster of eco-friendly garment facilities.

Bangladesh maintains its status as a global leader in green garment manufacturing, with 54 out of the top 100 green factories worldwide and 18 out of the top 20 LEED green factories located within its borders. Presently, the country hosts a total of 209 green factories, comprising 79 platinum, 116 gold, and 10 silver certifications.
