Venetia Butterfield is set to join ‘Next’ as an independent non-executive director, effective from April 2, 2024. Upon her appointment, Butterfield will serve on the nomination, audit, and remuneration committees. Currently serving as the managing director of Cornerstone, the largest adult division of Penguin Random House, she brings extensive experience as a business leader and marketing professional to the board.
‘Next’ highlighted Butterfield’s successful leadership in an independent business within a larger conglomerate, emphasizing its relevance as Next expands its portfolio through Total Platform initiatives.
Besides her role at ‘Next’, Butterfield is involved with the Southbank Centre’s Board of Governors and has held positions as vice-chair of Governors for West London Free School Primary and Earl’s Court Free School.
