Vietnam and Bangladesh enhance Economic, Trade, and Investment Collaboration

Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, the President of the Vietnam National Assembly, participated in an event in Dhaka titled the ‘Forum on Policies and Legislation for Enhancing Economic, Trade, and Investment Cooperation between Vietnam and Bangladesh.’

This forum was jointly organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the Vietnamese Business Association in Bangladesh.

The event was attended by members of a high-level delegation from the Vietnamese National Assembly, leaders from the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), numerous businesses from both nations, and representatives from various ministries of both countries. During the forum, three significant business-to-business (B2B) Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed:

One MoU was inked between BMH Vietnam Company and Doreen Group Bangladesh, focusing on investment cooperation, technology transfer, and the development of pre-engineered steel production.

Bangladesh Vietnam Development Assistance Company and the Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Association signed another MoU related to pharmaceutical exchange.

Huong Giang Aviation Services and the Bangladesh Tourism Association established an MoU to create a tourism alliance.

As part of his official three-day tour, Vuong Dinh Hue visited the advanced facilities of Beximco Pharma in Tongi. During the visit, he received a comprehensive presentation and tour of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
