10-member panel to draft a white papers on economic situation of Bangladesh within 90 days
Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus has authorized the formation of a ten-member panel, led by Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya, to draft a white paper on Bangladesh’s economic situation. The panel, composed of yet-to-be-disclosed members, will deliver strategic recommendations within 90 days to stabilize the economy, achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and address challenges as Bangladesh transitions from least developed country (LDC) status.
Key focus areas include public finance management, inflation and food management, external balance, energy and power, the private sector, and employment conditions. The panel will operate without compensation, with support from the Planning Commission’s General Economic Division.
