40 million USD investment in Bangabandhu Industrial City
Two companies are investing 40 million dollars in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar. Of this, X Ceramics Limited will invest 29 million dollar and Daijin Chemical Company will invest another 11 million dollars.
On July 19, Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) signed an agreement to provide 30 acres of land with two institutions in Agargaon of the capital. It was presided over by Beza Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusuf Haroon. The managing directors of the two institutions were also present at that time.
X Ceramic Company is getting 20 acres of land in Shilpanagar. The company said that if the factory is established here, there will be employment for 1,500 people. Daijin Chemical Limited is taking 10 acres of land.
Speaking as a special guest at the meeting, Mahin Bin Mazhar, Managing Director of X Ceramics Company, said that we have 25 factories. We are the first to bring NT Sleep Tiles in the country. In this sector, we are moving towards exports which will help to reduce imports. The first tiles will be exported from the country through us.
Beza Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusuf Harun said, “We have submitted 137 companies to Bangabandhu Shilpanagar.” So far six companies have come into production and the rest are working on building factories.
