77 exporters are awarded by the Government of Bangladesh

Rifat Garments Limited of the Ha-Meem Group received Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy for earning the highest foreign exchange in exports for the fiscal year 2021-22.

Following the National Export Trophy Policy 2013, the primary and final selection committees evaluated exporters from a total of 32 sectors for the fiscal year 2021-2022 based on export earnings, income growth, introduction of new products, and entry into new markets, compliance adherence, and other criteria. Outstanding exporters in each sector were awarded gold, silver, and bronze trophies.

In addition to the special Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy for the highest earning exporter, a total of 29 gold, 27 silver, and 21 bronze trophies were awarded. A documentary on the government’s export trade was also showcased at the event.

The event was presided over by Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, with special speeches by the President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Commerce Tipu Munshi, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Md. Salim Ullah, and FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam. EPB Vice Chairman Anwar Hossain delivered the welcome speech.

Sajid Azad, Director of Rifat Garments Limited, expressed his feelings on winning the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy, and Amrita Makin Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Picard Bangladesh, shared her joy at winning the gold medal for the highest export earnings in the leather and leather products sector.
