Bangladesh Calls on Indonesia to Facilitate Market Entry for Ready-Made Garment Products
Bangladeshi Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen recently urged his Indonesian counterpart, Retno Marsudi, in Jakarta to facilitate market access for Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) products. Expressing dissatisfaction with the bilateral trade volume exceeding $3 billion, Momen highlighted the significant trade imbalance between the two countries. He expressed hope for the swift conclusion of a bilateral preferential trade agreement.
Additionally, the two ministers signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on cooperation in the energy sector. This MoU aims to promote the long-term sale and delivery of conventional energy sources, as well as the development of new and renewable energy sources and power plants in Bangladesh.
