More Man-Made fiber based garment production can help reaching more export earnings for Bangladesh
BTJ Desk Report
A recent study by Price Waterhouse Cooper (PwC) suggests that Bangladesh should prioritize the production of garments from man-made fibers (MMF), as global exports of such apparel are expected to increase from 50 percent in 2022 to 60 percent in 2030. The study also forecasts a rise in global garment exports from $953 billion in 2022 to $1121 billion by 2030.
PwC presented these findings at a press conference held at the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) office. The study, commissioned by BGMEA, aligns with Bangladesh’s goal to export apparel worth $100 billion by 2030.
