Lenzing Group has announced an expansion of its LENZING Lyocell Fill portfolio, part of the TENCEL fiber family, introducing finer variants with various cut lengths for filling applications in home textiles and apparel. These fibers, certified by the EU ‘Ecolabel’ and ‘ClimatePartner’, are designed to enhance thermal comfort, moisture control, and form-keeping properties.
The expanded portfolio offers two distinct linear densities, catering to diverse applications such as pillows, comforters, and stuffed toys. The finer fibers are suitable for lightweight applications like blow-fill technology, while the coarser fibers provide moisture control and bulkiness for comforters and quilts. These fibers blend seamlessly with other materials like polyester and down, supporting a range of product designs and consumer preferences.
Manufactured from responsibly sourced wood, LENZING Lyocell Fill fibers are environmentally friendly and aim to reduce reliance on fossil-based materials. They are set to be showcased at Heimtextil in Frankfurt from January 14–17, 2025, where Lenzing experts will demonstrate their applications and sustainability benefits.
