Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has announced an opportunity for Bangladeshi exporters to participate in the Global Sourcing Expo 2026 Melbourne, scheduled to take place from 17–19 November 2026 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
The exhibition is expected to provide Bangladeshi companies with an international platform to showcase products and explore business opportunities in the Australian market, particularly in apparel, accessories, textiles, home furnishing and footwear.
According to an EPB notice, participating companies will receive government assistance subject to applicable eligibility criteria and export-performance categories.
The exhibition offers a 3m × 3m (9 sqm) shell-scheme booth, with the participation/space booking fee stated at AUD 8,189.50, equivalent to approximately Tk 720,766 according to the exchange rate mentioned in the notice.
Government support
For ready-made garment exporters, the notice specifies maximum EPB assistance based on export earnings. Companies with export earnings above US$10 million may receive up to 60% assistance, while companies with export earnings between US$5 million and US$10 million may receive up to 40%. Companies with export earnings below US$5 million/new exporters fall under another category with assistance stated at 50%.
For exporters from other sectors, the notice provides assistance of up to 45% for eligible exporters, while companies with export earnings below US$5 million and initial-stage companies without previous exports may receive up to 50%, subject to the applicable conditions.
The notice also identifies women entrepreneurs as a special category eligible for up to 60% assistance.
Interested companies were required to submit the prescribed application form along with supporting documents, including trade licence, tax and VAT certificates, passport and National ID copies, and other required documents.
The Global Sourcing Expo Melbourne is an established sourcing-focused exhibition connecting international buyers with suppliers across apparel, textiles, footwear and related product categories. For Bangladeshi exporters, participation could provide an opportunity to strengthen market visibility and develop business contacts in Australia.
