Three researchers won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry

Three scientists have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry this year for their groundbreaking work in quantum dot technology, which has revolutionized various fields, including electronics and healthcare. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the laureates on October 4, including Mungi Bawendi and Lewis E. Bruce from the United States and Alexey Ekimov from Russia.
The Nobel Prizes are presented in six categories: medicine, physics, chemistry, literature, peace, and economic. They were established in 1901 in honor of Swedish scientist Alfred Nobel. Since 1968, the Sveriges Riksbank (the central bank of Sweden) has been responsible for awarding the Nobel Prize.
