UAE had recently showed interests to invest in Bangladesh, on its renewable energy sector. Minister of industry and advanced technology, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber on his recent visit to Bangladesh with prime- minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka expressed this interests.
PM’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim said on a press briefing after the meeting quoted “We are very interested in the energy sector, especially on renewable energy alongside conventional energy.”
Mr. Ahmed is also the chairman of energy company Masdar and Managing Director of Aby Dhabi national oil company, said that two of their team will be sent soon to discuss renewable energy and other business as well.
