Bangladesh–China Green Textile Expo set for 23–25 October in Dhaka

Bangladesh is set to host the inaugural Bangladesh–China Green Textile Expo (BCGTX) 2025 from 23–25 October 2025 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, according to the official event website.

Organised jointly by Savor International Limited and the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB), with the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) as the knowledge partner, the expo aims to create a specialised platform for Bangladesh and China’s textile industries to converge on sustainability and green innovation.

The focal themes of the event include man-made fibres (MMF), sustainable fabric production, eco-friendly manufacturing technologies, and solutions for faster industry transformation. The three-day show will feature over 150 booths from Bangladesh and China, targeted at B2B and B2G interactions, with an expected trade-value exposure near USD 15 million.

Attendees will include textile manufacturers, fibre and yarn producers, machine and chemical suppliers, technical textile and blending specialists, and representatives of recycling and green technology firms. Seminar sessions and expert panels will highlight best practices in low-impact manufacturing, circular economy strategies, and collaborative innovation between the two countries.

The expo also aligns with Shanghai Climate Week and other global sustainability initiatives, reinforcing Bangladesh and China’s joint voice in green textile transformation, and offering Bangladesh’s industry new avenues for growth and environmental commitment.
