ANDRITZ and AITEX collaborates for their latest research

International technology group ANDRITZ has supplied and commissioned a cutting-edge reXline tearing installation at AITEX in Alicante, one of Europe’s largest textile R&D centers. This customized system enhances AITEX’s textile recycling trials and broadens its portfolio of innovative recycling solutions.

AITEX, Spain’s leading research and innovation center for the textile industry, is the country’s only accredited issuer of OEKO-TEX® certifications. With the new ANDRITZ equipment, AITEX strengthens its support for industries such as geotextiles, agrotextiles, automotive, and fashion.

Designed to process a wide range of raw materials, the reXline tearing system has been tailored to meet AITEX’s specific R&D needs for recycling post-industrial and post-consumer waste.

“This collaboration with ANDRITZ allows us to expand our trial capabilities and enhance the services we offer,” said Vincent Blanes, CEO of AITEX. “The new equipment efficiently meets the growing demand for textile recycling solutions and ensures our R&D remains at the forefront of innovation.”
