Ananta Group will invest USD 70 million in synthetic knit fabric manufacturing plant

Despite facing challenges like dollar shortages and insufficient gas and electricity supply, Ananta Group will invest $70 million in a synthetic knit fabric manufacturing facility in Narsingdi. Plant will be named Ananta Knitwear Limited, this facility aims to dominate the export market for activewear, sportswear, and intimate apparel made from manmade fiber.

With $40 million in financing from the Asian Development Bank and the ILX Fund, the factory aims for a $700 million export turnover in five years. Expected to start production by the end of 2025, the facility will create 2,000 jobs and produce 60 tons daily. It also plans to generate 2MW of solar energy and achieve LEED platinum certification.
