Chinese company Baida Industrial Company Ltd is investing $1.26 million to establish a factory at the Uttara Export Processing Zone in Nilphamari. This factory will annually produce 8,000 tons of various printed materials and packaging products, including cartons, paper bags, box files, books, magazines, stickers, calendars, diaries, and printed cards. The investment is expected to create 1,150 jobs for Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement was signed by Md Ashraful Kabir from the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) and Zhang Hu, the managing director of Baida Industrial Company, at the Bepza Complex in Dhaka.
