Collaboration for Europe’s Largest Multi-Purpose Nonwoven Plant: Trützschler Nonwovens and Texnology Partner with O.R.V. Manufacturing

TrützschlerTrützschler Nonwovens and Texnology S.r.l. have secured an order from O.R.V. Manufacturing S.p.A. to supply a new production line for needle-punched and thermobonded polyester materials, such as filtration media. This partnership among three family-owned companies will create one of Europe’s largest multi-purpose nonwoven production lines at O.R.V., a leading producer of nonwoven fabrics and polyester wadding in Italy and Europe. The project officially kicked off with a celebration on October 1st.

O.R.V. Manufacturing, part of the Peruzzo Productions Group, has over 75 years of experience producing nonwoven products for a wide range of applications, including clothing, furnishings, filtration, insulation, and automotive components. Their facilities are based in Carmignano di Brenta and Grantorto in northern Italy, with additional operations in southern Italy, Romania, Poland, and Brazil. Gabriele Zanella, CEO of O.R.V. Manufacturing, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration: “With Trützschler Nonwovens and Texnology, we’ve found partners who share our family business values and help us realize this significant project.”

The celebration in Italy was attended by key stakeholders, including Charlotte Fontaine from Trützschler, Nicola Olivo of Texnology, and Massimiliano and Cristina Giacobbo Peruzzo from the Peruzzo Productions Group. Fontaine remarked, “This installation represents not only a technological leap but also the innovative spirit of our partnership. Together, we are setting new industry standards with one of Europe’s largest multi-purpose lines.”

From a customer event to a major project

The journey began with an unforgettable customer event at the Nonwoven Customer and Technology Center (NCTC), where nonwovens ranging from 35 to 1400 grams per square meter (gsm) were showcased. This event led to collaborative product development days that solidified the shared vision of the three companies. “T-SUPREMA serves a wide range of applications while achieving top-quality outputs and outstanding efficiency. Our focus is on nonwovens used in air and liquid filtration. They play a significant role in environmental protection,” says Oliver Döring, Director Sales & Marketing Trützschler Nonwovens.
