Elon Musk lost the top position in new billionaires list
CNN said that Elon Musk has officially dropped from the top of Forbes magazine’s annual billionaire list. LVMH Chairman Behna Ahnon came to that place. The owner of Tesla and Twitter is now the second highest billionaire, with an estimated net worth of $18 trillion. Which is 3 thousand 9 billion dollars less than the previous year.
Musk’s lost crown is in the head of Behna Ahnour, chairman of French luxury goods giant LVMH. His total wealth increased by 5 billion dollars to 21 thousand billion dollars in the last year. Of course, Musk’s loss of position is not surprising. Over the past few months, he has often lost out to Ahnon on Forbes’ “Real-Time Billionaires” list.
According to the magazine, the purchase of Twitter for 4 thousand 4 billion dollars, financing from the shares of Tesla, combined with the distrust of investors, Musk’s wealth has decreased. Tesla recovered much of its losses that year, but was significantly less than it was before buying Twitter. The space company SpaceX was a boon for the billionaire. It has increased from 1,300 crores to 14,000 crores in the last year.
However, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos lost the most money of any billionaire on the list, $57 billion. He is in the third position. Amazon shares fell 40 percent last year.
About Behna Ahnon, Forbes says her luxury products have made record profits. These include Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Tiffany & Co. LVMH shares have gained 25 percent over the last year. The total number of billionaires in this year’s Forbes list is 2,640, which was 2,668 last year.
