ITM 2026 showcases future of textile manufacturing in Istanbul

The ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition opened in Istanbul on June 9, bringing together more than 1,000 companies and representatives from 55 countries to showcase the latest advancements in textile technology, sustainability and digital manufacturing.

Held at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, the five-day event features innovations across yarn spinning, knitting, weaving, dyeing, digital printing and finishing technologies. The exhibition is jointly organized by Tüyap, Teknik Fuarcılık and the Turkish Textile Machinery and Accessories Industrialists Association (TEMSAD).

A major focus of this year’s exhibition is digital transformation, with exhibitors presenting AI-driven production systems, smart factory solutions, automation technologies and data-based manufacturing tools aimed at improving efficiency and competitiveness.

Sustainability is also at the forefront, with technologies designed to reduce water consumption, energy use and carbon emissions attracting strong interest from manufacturers and global brands.

Delegations from key textile-producing countries, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt and Russia, are expected to participate. Running alongside HIGHTEX 2026, the event is expected to strengthen Istanbul’s position as a leading global hub for textile technology, investment and international business collaboration.
