National grid line failure has caused a power outage in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, and Cumilla this afternoon (October 4, 2022).
According to the media reports, power outages occurred in the eastern part of the national grid at 2:05 pm and the power supply was stopped simultaneously.
However, no one can say for sure when the power supply will restart.
Officials from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Power Grid Company Bangladesh (PGCB) confirmed the matter to the national media Prothom Alo and The Daily Star.
The spokesperson of BPDB said that it’s a national grid failure. People in many areas of Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, and Cumilla area are not getting electricity since around 2:05 pm today.
