USAID-funded Feed the Future Bangladesh Trade Activity recently organized a day-long program in Chattogram to enhance Bangladeshi exporters’ understanding of food safety and sanitary requirements for agro-processed food exports. Aimed at improving compliance and competitiveness, the event focused on meeting standards for exports to the EU, Gulf countries, and the USA. Key speakers, including SM Khalid Shaifullah from the Department of Agricultural Extension, emphasized the importance of meeting international food safety standards to expand global market access.
The initiative, part of the “Easy Export Series,” equips exporters with essential tools to ensure high standards, fostering Bangladesh’s growth as a trusted source of quality agro-processed foods.
