Vietnam considered to be the 21st richest countries in Asia
Insider Monkey has recently released a report saying Vietnam had ranked the 16th position among the top 21 richest countries throughout Asia. Insider Monkey, a finance website focusing on financial markets, hedge funds and insider trading.
Though Vietnam is a lower middle income economy, the country has experienced remarkable economic growth over the recent decades, making it one of the emerging and fastest growing economies of the 21st century.
According to Insider Monkey, Vietnam is a member of several international and intergovernmental organizations that includes ASEAN, APEC, CPTPP, the Non-Aligned Movement, OIF and the WTO. The country’s wealth stood at USD 985 billion as of 2021, taking it to one of the richest Asian nation.
Insider Monkey has taken the data from Credit Suisse’s global wealth Data-book 2022. This database calculate value of wealth based on financial value and non-financial assets while subtracting debts.
Among the topper, China is undoubtedly ranked the first position with the total wealth of USD 85,107 trillion in 2021 followed by Japan with USD 25,692 trillion and on third position, it is India with USD 14,225 trillion. South Korea and Taiwan scored as 4th and 5th richest country in Asia.
