China exported textiles, apparel, and clothing accessories worth $189.353 billion in the first seven months of the current year (January-July), registering a growth rate of 17.35% year-on-year.
According to the latest monthly data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, the country’s garment exports grew 19.1% in the same period.
Garments and clothing accessories export reached $99.558 billion in the first seven months, which was 18.5% higher than the same period of last year.
Of this, garment exports alone comprised $87.964 billion, increasing by 19.1% year-on-year, the data showed.
China’s textile exports registered a growth of 16.2% y-o-y to $89.795 billion in January-July 2022 where the export of textile yarn increased by 19% to $9.484 billion, fabrics by 20.2% to $43.410 billion, and textile products by 11.5% to $36.901 billion.
According to the data, textile and apparel export during July 2022 was $33.22 billion. Textile, yarn, and articles export earned $13.583 billion, while garments and clothing accessories fetched $19.637 billion in July this year.
