Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced another increase in the price of gold, raising it by Tk 1,832 per bhori within just four days in response to a hike in the local bullion market. As per Bajus, 22-carat gold will now be priced at Tk 1,17,282 per bhori (11.664 grams), while 21-carat gold will cost Tk 1,11,951 per bhori and 18-carat gold at Tk95,960 per bhori. The traditional method of gold pricing will be set at Tk 79,339 per bhori. These new rates will take effect from today (Sunday), marking the fourth price hike in May by the apex body of gold traders.
