Asad Sattar showcases Bangladesh at BRICS+ fashion summit, Moscow

Asad Sattar, founder of Arka Fashion Week and Creative Director of Ami Dhaka, represented Bangladesh at the BRICS+ Fashion Summit (Aug 28–30, 2025) and Moscow Fashion Week (Aug 28–Sept 2, 2025).
In a plenary session with global fashion leaders, he stressed that Bangladesh must go beyond garment exports to share its culture, crafts, and stories on the global stage.
Presenting Ami Dhaka, Sattar highlighted its “Heritage Futurism” design philosophy—reviving Bangladeshi artisanal techniques in modern fashion, with each piece made by hand.
He praised Moscow Fashion Week’s blend of heritage and modernism, calling it a rising global fashion capital, and emphasized cross-border collaboration through the BRICS International Fashion Federation.
Sattar also announced that Arka Fashion Week will return for its fourth edition on Dec 4–7, 2025 in Dhaka, spotlighting Bangladesh’s artisans and positioning Dhaka as a hub for youth-driven cultural and fashion innovation.
