BanglaCAT, the authorised dealer of Caterpillar Inc. in Bangladesh, hosted the “Freedom 250” reception in partnership with the United States Embassy in Dhaka at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View on 1st July, commemorating the 250th anniversary of United States independence.

The event brought together US Ambassador Brent T. Christensen, senior government officials, business leaders, industry stakeholders, and BanglaCAT management to celebrate the longstanding partnership between Bangladesh and the United States.

Held as part of the global Freedom 250 initiative, the reception highlighted two and a half centuries of freedom, innovation, and progress while reaffirming BanglaCAT’s commitment to strengthening stakeholder engagement. The company showcased its role in supporting Bangladesh’s industrial development by delivering Caterpillar’s advanced engineering and power solutions across key sectors, including infrastructure, construction, power generation, marine, and inland waterways.

BanglaCAT noted that more than 65% of Bangladesh’s export-oriented industries rely on Caterpillar generator systems, while over 5,000 Caterpillar machines are operating nationwide. In Chattogram, the company has established a strong footprint in the marine sector through Caterpillar-powered solutions backed by its nationwide service network.

The evening also featured cultural performances by the United States Army Tropic Lightning Band and Bangladesh’s Stone Free Band, symbolising the friendship and shared values between the two nations. The reception concluded with renewed optimism for continued innovation, collaboration, and sustainable progress in Bangladesh-US relations.
