This projection was shared during the “HSBC Economic Outlook: A Perspective on Bangladesh” event, featuring Frederic Neumann, HSBC’s Chief Asia Economist. Neumann emphasized the need for Bangladesh to capitalize on near-record high foreign direct investments in Asia. The bank expects growth to be supported by household spending, improving purchasing power, rebounding remittances, and increased investment spending, particularly from exporters benefiting from global trade improvements.
