Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has been named Bangladesh’s ‘Bank of the Year 2023’ by international publication The Banker, marking the third time EBL has received this recognition. The award acknowledges EBL’s resilience in navigating economic challenges and market fluctuations, its introduction of innovative products and services, infrastructure modernization, and outstanding performance.
The bank’s initiatives addressing environmental, social, and governance issues were also considered. EBL’s Managing Director and Chief Executive, Ali Reza Iftekhar, expressed pride and happiness, emphasizing the award’s significance in recognizing the bank’s ongoing commitment to excellence and serving as inspiration to uphold guiding values.
