The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the European Union (EU) have reiterated their dedication to enhancing trade connections between the two regions. In a meeting at the FBCCI office in Dhaka, EU Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Charles Whiteley and FBCCI President Mr. Mahbubul Alam affirmed their commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and the EU.
Alam expressed his gratitude to the EU for their assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic and conveyed his sincere appreciation for the EU’s extension of an additional three-year transition period, allowing Bangladesh to continue enjoying ‘Everything but Arms (EBA)’ privileges until 2029
