OEKO-TEX published Eco-Passport for more transparency

OEKO-TEX analyzed ECO PASSPORT test data to identify key substances that frequently exceed threshold limits, including aniline, chlorinated benzenes and toluenes, formaldehyde, siloxanes, and quinoline. These chemicals pose significant environmental and health risks.

Over the past month, OEKO-TEX has reviewed laboratory findings across various ECO PASSPORT testing parameters, determining which exceed limits most often and identifying affected product groups. This data has been shared with certificate holders to assist them in their certification and testing processes.

To promote industry-wide awareness and encourage safer practices, OEKO-TEX has published its findings. By spotlighting these substances, the association aims to support manufacturers in meeting strict safety standards while driving accountability and innovation within the textile, leather, and chemical industries.
