BTTLMEA elects new leadership for 2026–2027 term

Bangladesh Terry Towel & Linen Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BTTLMEA) has announced its new executive committee and board of directors for the 2026–2027 tenure, marking a fresh chapter for the country’s terry towel and home textile sector.
The new board takes charge at a time when exporters are grappling with global demand fluctuations, rising production costs, and tightening compliance requirements across major markets.
M Shahadat Hossain has been elected President of BTTLMEA. The Managing Director of Towel Tex Limited, Hossain brings long-standing experience in export-oriented terry towel production and is expected to lead the association through a challenging but opportunity-filled period.
Abdullah Mohammad Talha, CEO & Managing Director of Noman Terry Towel Mills Limited, has been elected Senior Vice President. He is anticipated to help drive strategic initiatives aimed at boosting competitiveness and widening market access.
Belayet Hossain, Managing Director of RTT Textile Ind. (Pvt.) Limited, has been elected Vice President and will contribute his operational and export management expertise to the leadership team.

Industry analysts note that the combination of seasoned entrepreneurs and emerging leaders offers a balanced leadership structure, strengthening BTTLMEA’s ability to advocate for policy reforms and support exporters—particularly in areas such as energy reliability, sustainable manufacturing, and market diversification.
According to officials, the association will continue its collaboration with policymakers, international buyers, and development partners to enhance Bangladesh’s position in the global home-textile value chain.
