Bangladesh Bank newly appointed Governor Mr. Ahsan H Mansur had announced that inflation is expected to be controlled within four to five months. Following a meeting at the finance ministry, he mentioned that the foreign exchange reserves would be used for importing essential commodities while maintaining a comfortable reserve level to manage inflation.
Finance and Planning Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed added that the government has already initiated various steps to control inflation, but emphasized that it will take some time to see the results.
