Bangladesh highlighted its diverse export capabilities at the three-day Korea Import Expo 2026, with 32 companies exhibiting products ranging from apparel and textiles to leather goods, IT solutions, agro-processed food and eco-friendly products.

Jointly organised by the Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KBCCI) in collaboration with the Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul, the exhibition at COEX Hall B brought together international exhibitors, Korean importers, distributors and trade organisations.

A 41-member Bangladeshi business delegation, led by KBCCI President Shahab Uddin Khan, participated in the event under the theme “Invest in Bangladesh: Advancing Trade and Investment Through Strong Bilateral Relations.” The Bangladesh Pavilion drew strong interest from buyers and visitors, showcasing apparel, garment accessories, leather and footwear, jute products, handicrafts, AI-based software solutions and logistics services.

The expo was inaugurated by Young Mi Youn, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association, and Bangladesh Ambassador to South Korea Toufiq Islam Shatil, who reaffirmed the embassy’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen bilateral trade and investment.

The event also brought together senior government officials, diplomats and business leaders from both countries, reinforcing efforts to expand commercial cooperation and create new market opportunities for Bangladeshi exporters in South Korea.
