China eyes increased investment in Bangladesh as bilateral ties deepen

China has expressed its intention to expand investment in Bangladesh, citing the country’s political stability and strengthening bilateral relations.

During a courtesy meeting with Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen said China plans to increase its investments in Bangladesh following the establishment of a politically stable government.

The home minister welcomed the commitment and encouraged Chinese businesses to further expand their investments across various sectors. He emphasized that Bangladesh and China share a long-standing friendship and expressed Bangladesh’s desire to elevate the bilateral partnership in light of evolving regional, strategic, and geographical dynamics.
